SAM: A New Party Starts Its March in New York

Stephanie Miner

As Chairman of the Advisory Council for the Serve America Movement (SAM), a new independent centrist political party, I was especially pleased that our candidate for governor of New York, former Syracuse mayor Stephanie Miner, received almost 52,000 votes that now puts SAM on the New York state ballot for the next four years. Stephanie is the first candidate in the nation to run on the Serve America Movement party line. A former Democratic state co-chair, she decided to run against the entrenched politicians as a reform candidate.

SAM will now build on its success in New York to prove a new party is capable of going head to head with the political duopoly we currently have. It will take a lot of work, dedication, and financial resources. See more about SAM at joinsam.org.
