Record Number of Women to Serve in Congress
The newly elected congress will have a record 102 women members when they take office on January 3rd of next year. While this is a significant number of members, the graphic illustrates the overwhelming male dominance that continues in the halls of congress. The new Democratic majority in the House will also supply a new level of ethnic and religious diversity in “the peoples’ house.”
