STATEMENT BY FORMER EIGHT-TERM CONGRESSMAN TOM COLEMAN (R-MO)
ON HIS ENDORSEMENT OF JOE BIDEN FOR PRESIDENT

“Today I am announcing my enthusiastic support for Joe Biden for President. I do so because Joe Biden will follow the science to get the coronavirus under control that will, in turn, allow our economy to prosper, restoring jobs and creating new ones.

For eight years as Vice President, Joe Biden has seen up close and personal how a president should lead us, not divide us.

Joe Biden will safeguard and secure our democracy that is under assault by his opponent and restore American leadership in the world.

During his years in public service, Joe Biden has shown compassion, caring and empathy for his fellow citizens. His personal values will serve us well.”

Tom Coleman is a former Republican Member of Congress from Missouri. He has served as an adjunct professor at the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University and at American University. He is an Advisor to Protect Democracy.
