Discussing 2018 Election Results with Japanese Embassy

Tom Coleman at Japanese Embassy

I was recently invited to the Japanese Embassy to discuss the congressional elections with 20 members of the embassy staff. On Thursday, November 8, 2018, two days after the midterm elections, my message was that even though the new Democratic majority in the House would like to focus on policy legislation, events would overtake them. This will require House members to turn their attention to restoring congressional oversight of the executive branch and hold the president accountable for his actions.
